As a Process Engineer at AMSilk, you ensure the reliable execution, optimization, and scale-up of processes from lab to production. Through data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and a hands-on mindset, you drive process improvements, support technology transfer, and help build robust, scalable operations
.
Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:
  • Plan and execute pilot- and production-scale runs independently
  • Ensure equipment readiness and smooth process execution
  • Maintain a safe, well-organized, and operational laboratory and pilot environment
  • Coordinate maintenance and support equipment availability
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams during trials and scale-up
  • Create and improve SOPs, work instructions, and batch records
  • Support quality, safety, and operational standards in daily work
  • Analyze process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Drive process optimization through a structured and analytical approach
  • Support technology transfer through documentation, parameter updates, and operational feedback
Your areas of knowledge and expertise are:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences, such as Mechanical, Chemical, Textile, Biotechnology, Polymer or Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in process development or process engineering, ideally in laboratory, pilot, and/or production environments
  • Hands-on experience with relevant unit operations, such as mixing, compounding, spinning, or other fiber-forming technologies
  • Experience in process monitoring, analytics tools, and technology transfer from lab to production scale
  • Confident use of MS Office; experience with ELN/LIMS or other operational systems is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies experience with tools such as Python, SQL, JMP, or Minitab is a plus
  • Team-oriented working style with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • High adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive hands-on mindset in dynamic R&D and pilot-scale environments
  • Professional English skills; German language skills are a plus
