As a Luxury Fiber Application Engineer (m/f/d) in our Fiber Business Unit, you will play a central role in driving the adoption of AMSilk’s sustainable silk-based yarns in the luxury fashion industry. You will collaborate with scientists, textile partners, and global brands to develop, promote, and implement high-performance, next-generation textile solutions. This position bridges deep technical expertise with creativity, customer focus, and strong project execution skills.

Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:

Design and optimize AMSilk’s yarn portfolio to ensure high performance, fitness for use, and cost efficiency across textile applications
Develop strong partnerships with selected luxury brands and key multipliers (e.g., fabric mills) to co-create fabric collections for promotion and commercialization
Provide hands-on technical guidance to customers, helping them integrate AMSilk’s yarns into their fabrics and resolving application or performance challenges
Work closely with R&D, Sales, and internal teams to develop new yarn solutions, support commercial teams with technical presentations, and deliver customer training
Conduct thorough testing of yarn and fabric constructions to assess performance, usability, and end-use compatibility
Act as a guardian of technical specifications from a customer and application perspective
Represent AMSilk at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events, highlighting our technical leadership
Provide consistent market and customer feedback to internal teams to inform development and strategy
Stay up to date on market trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, contributing to competitive positioning of AMSilk yarns
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., Oeko-Tex®, biodegradability) and support customers in meeting their sustainability goals

Your areas of knowledge and expertise are:

Master of Science in Textile Engineering
5+ years of experience in application technology and project management within the textile industry
Fluent in English and either French or Italian
Experience with luxury fibers such as silk, cashmere, or alpaca is a plus
Hands-on experience in textile production is an advantage
International work experience in France or Italy is a strong asset
Strong customer- and market-oriented communication skills
Solid understanding of standard textile processes: yarning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishing
Familiarity with production processes in luxury apparel, footwear, and accessories
Open-minded, solution-oriented, and creative approach to technical challenges
